300 Romanians professed their faith in Jesus Christ through baptism during one ceremonyFreedom behind bars

God continues to open new doors in reaching the people of Romania with the Gospel. One of the ministries that is continuing to grow is outreach among prison inmates. Here is one woman's story about how she gave her heart to Jesus Christ after completing a Bible study:

“I am 27 years old. I received a life sentence for a double murder, along with my boyfriend, when I was 19 years old. I have been held in prison with such a penalty for seven years—I was close to losing my mind. My guilt, hopelessness, desperation, the rejection of my family, all together pushed me to seek suicide.

In the middle of my distress, someone shared the Gospel with me. She led me through a Bible study, and then she gave me a Bible.

Slowly, my darkness was enlightened by God's love. I found real peace and freedom in Christ, knowing He had forgiven me of my crimes, even though my body was still behind bars. I began to pray for my family, my friends, and even my guards.”

-Sophia, a new Christian in Romania-
