Colombia - Rosalba
“My mother was a prostitute and my father was an alcoholic. My father was violent, and my mother did not care for us. As for God, He had no meaning for us except to curse for our miserable existence.

“My only dream was to escape from those ugly surroundings by marrying a man who would be my deliverer. My negative attitude and moody behavior made the marriage difficult. We started talking about divorce.

“Then my mother was dramatically converted to Jesus Christ. Immediately she gave up prostitution and began to show some caring towards me.


“It was my mother who led me to Jesus. Jesus Christ has changed me. Gone is the bitterness and resentment. God’s love has dispelled the hate that once ruled my behavior. The way God has changed my life has pleased my husband. There are no more talks about divorce. One day he will come to believe in Jesus as his Savior. My two boys are attending Sunday School and hearing about Jesus.

“I attend a [Project Philip] Discovery Bible study group that has enabled me to grow in my faith. How grateful I am to The Bible League for giving us the books and Bibles.”
