Bible
League Volunteers is a grassroots organization that supports the work of the
Bible League through prayer, public awareness, and fundraising. Founded in
1962, it is composed of area divisions geographically
located across
the U.S. and led by a National Board.
Members have a heart to give God's Word to those around the world who are
desperately waiting for their own Bible. Acting as key contacts and representatives
of the Bible League within their local churches and communities, members work
to educate others about the opportunity to send Scriptures. They also encourage
personal and communal prayer for the Bible League's overseas ministries.
Bible League Volunteers choose a region where the Bible League has an active
ministry to focus their attention for two years. Then each area division conducts
various events, such as retreats, golf outings, talent nights, concerts, and
bake sales as a fundraising project. Last year, at the close of a record-breaking
fundraising effort, the Bible League Volunteers sent nearly 250,000 Bibles
to Mexico.
