“Does
God speak my language, too?”
Simply getting to the Machiguenga villages of
central Peru is a challenge. Some of the journey
requires paddling by dugout canoe. Before receiving
the New Testament in their own language, the
Machiguenga lived in total isolation from the
rest of the world. No one could read.
But today, because of the Bible League’s
40-plus year partnership with Wycliffe Bible
Translators, the Bible has changed their lives
tremendously. More than 80 percent of the Machiguenga
know how to read. |

these Scriptures for evangelism, discipleship,
and church planter training as work within
these people groups develops.
And now we turn to you, asking you to pray
and give to print the precious Word of God.
Without your partnership, the chain is broken.
From the printed page to the heart
You already know the power of God’s Word
in your own life. The excitement of receiving
and understanding Scripture cannot be compared.
You can make that happen for many more people
for the first time. |
